Empathy Projects aims to support projects that promote Social Good, focusing on empathy and compassion. Our offerings are grounded in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Servant Leadership.
We wish to create a community of Nonviolent Communication practitioners and aspiring Servant-Leaders motivated to contribute their expertise to support projects and initiatives that promote peace locally and globally.

Carlos sees himself as an aspiring servant-leader. He has been an NVC practitioner since 2011 and has led teams at volunteer-based and for-profit organizations for over twenty-five years. Carlos holds several industry-recognized project management certifications, and he studied Servant Leadership at the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership. He is currently a candidate for certification as an NVC Trainer by The Center for Nonviolent Communication, a global organization supporting the sharing and learning of NVC worldwide. Carlos is deeply committed to Nonviolent Communication and the teachings of Marshall Rosenberg. In addition to founding Empathy Projects, he is a mediator with the Beaverton Center for Mediation and Dialog, and a board member of the Oregon Network for Compassionate Communication, where he enjoys regularly contributing to the NVC community in Oregon.
